Happy Monday Savage Families, There are some important things going on this week: 1. Tonight is are Art & Bucket Drumming Show downtown Belleville in conjunction with the Monday Night Farmers Market & Car Show 2. Wednesday night is the Open House at Owen Intermediate for our 4th grade families from 6 - 7 p.m. 3. There was a note that also came home from the School Resource Nurse about sunscreen, please make sure you read and sign it if you want your child to be allowed to apply sunscreen at school. This is new legislation about sunscreen and we are just trying to keep everyone safe and follow the law. Thank you

Happy Friday Savage Families, I would like to remind everyone that we will be having our Art & Bucket Drumming show in the square between Eagan's & the Bayou Grill downtown Belleville on Monday, June 5th beginning at 5 p.m. Please come out and enjoy a wonderful evening at the car show and farmers market as well. Good Afternoon Savage Families, This is just a reminder about our school music concert tonight at BHS. Students need to report at 6 p.m. and our show will begin at 6:30 p.m. Also, tomorrow will be our free roller skating night at Rollers in Sumpter from 5 - 8 p.m. I look forward to seeing you at the concert, the students have been working very hard to prepare and you will thoroughly enjoy it. Happy Cinco De Mayo, Next week will be a busy week so I wanted to send a few reminders. All week is Teacher Appreciation Week. TUESDAY - 2nd grade field trip WEDNESDAY - Music program at 6:30 p.m. at BHS Students report at 6 p.m. THURSDAY - FREE skate night at Rollers thanks to our wonderful PTO. FRIDAY - 1/2 day of school for teacher professional development. Have a wonderful weekend.

Dear Savage Families, Just a few reminders: 1. Tuesday will be our Hungry Howie fundraiser day and KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP beginning at 6 p.m. This is a change due to the power outage last week. 2. PTO - our PTO meeting is rescheduled for MONDAY, MAY 1st at 6 p.m. If anyone is interested in serving on the board, all names need to be submitted to the office or given to PTO board members by Wednesday, May 24th so the names can be put on the ballot for the TUESDAY, May 30th elections.

Dear Savage Families, M-Step testing will begin tomorrow for our 3rd and 4th grade students. Please make sure they get a good night sleep and breakfast before coming to school. Also, encourage your student to do their best. Also, our KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023 beginning at 6 p.m. If you know of any future Kindergarten students, please send them our way since they are able to register now for next school year. Our Swartz fundraiser forms are due Friday, April 21st just as a reminder. Have a wonderful evening.

Hi Savage Families, This is just a reminder that next week will be M-Step testing for the third and fourth grade students. Please make sure that they get a good nights sleep and breakfast before coming to school. Also, just as a reminder that absolutely NO electronics are allowed in the classroom on the day of testing. Savage has two job openings: 1. Kitchen Help, hours are 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Mon - Fri. Contact food service at 734-697-0011 2. Lunch help - this is a position to help students in the lunchroom, open items and help clean between lunches. Hours are 11:15 a.m. - 2 p.m\ Mon - Fri. Good Evening Savage Families, I hope this finds all of you safe and well after the recent storms. I am hoping that we have school tomorrow and want everyone who planned on coming to the Paint Night this evening to know that we will reschedule that night and get the information out to you as soon as possible. MARCH 1ST will be an early release day with dismissal at 2:04 p.m. This Saturday will be our last 4th grade boys and girls basketball games and we will be at McBride Middle School beginning at 9 a.m. Be safe and hope to see all of you tomorrow.

Our Super Savage Tigers of the Week!

Dear Savage Families, It was wonderful to see everyone this week at Bingo and Paint Night this week and I hope to see some of you at the boys and girls basketball games at McBride tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. This coming Friday, February 10, 2023 our PTO is putting on a Love Dance. We are still accepting rsvp's for the event until Tuesday, so if you are interested, please let us know. King Pancake will also be here come and have dinner and a great time with us from 5:30 - 8 p.m. I have a parent who is interested in starting a Girls on the Run program but is looking for someone who is willing to help be a coach. So if you are interested, please contact the office as soon as possible so we can get things going. We have kicked off Black History Month with information about influential people being shared daily and presentations taking place during our Town Hall meetings on Fridays. If your family has anything that they would like to share about Black History Month, please let us know, we would be excited to have some guest speakers at our Town Hall meeting.
