Michigan State Representative Eileen DeHart (D) has distinguished herself as a popular and respected legislator representing residents in Westland/Canton since 1995. That same year Eileen was the BHS Commencement Speaker. Eileen is highly regarded by her legislative peers, who elected her Assistant-Associate Speaker Pro-Tempore to the Michigan House. Despite her busy schedule, Eileen volunteers with several groups, and has won many service awards. Eileen lives in Westland and drives back and forth to Lansing, so that she is easily accessible to her constituents.
