Jim’s other accomplishments include serving eight years as a member of the Van Buren School Board, member of the Kellogg Farmer Program, and served sixteen years on the Board of Directors for the Michigan Farm Bureau. He was the owner and operator of Sayre’s Red Barn Market and Pick Your Own farm. After retirement, Jim enjoyed restoring old tractors and was a charter member of the Tri-County Two Cylinder Club.
